Saturday Easter Egg Hunts

We did our Easter hunts at our house on Saturday morning.  We decided that the kids would get plenty of candy elsewhere, so they got camping chairs and hard-boiled eggs!

Ben finding his star wars camping chair!

This is the madness that was South Jordan's free Easter egg hunt.  My kids are in there somewhere!  It was the craziest I've ever seen any race.  Their hunt was at 9am, and the rest of the cities were at 10am, so everyone including us hit this one then went to another one.  My kids had fun, so that's all that matters.

Ben and Nathan checking out the fire truck after the egg hunt.

This is a picture of Riverton's Easter egg hunt, much better organized and a lot less people.  Hailey has the bright yellow rain jacket on.  Ben, Hailey and Eliza all had to be in different areas.  So, Ben did his own thing, Mike went with Hailey, and I went with Eliza.  Eliza was not into the crazy crowds but managed to get a few good things.  She picked up one piece of candy and was happy to just have that!

Ben's First Tooth Out...Finally!

I was really excited in January when Ben got his first loose tooth.  But, the cute kid  never wiggled it.  I asked him why, and he said it was because his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. McKenna, told them not to wiggle their teeth in school because it grossed her out.  He said he forgot to do it the rest of the day.  Well, it finally got loose and it came out April 22nd!!!  I had my mom and Bri tag team him and get it out!!!  He got: a pennie, a nickle, a dime, a quarter, a gold dollar, a dollar and a chocolate dollar from the tooth fairy.
His second tooth was much easier.  It was the tooth on the bottom next to the one that came out.  The night before we went to Disneyland I was flossing his teeth before bed.  His tooth was practically sideways, so I just gently tugged and out it came.  Luckily the tooth fairy came through again!  Ben is growing up way too fast.  When he lost his first tooth I thought, he's just getting so big. I can't beleive I have a child old enough to be losing teeth!
Cute Hailey!

Eliza loves swinging!  Notice how she has to be in full winter gear even though it's April.

Easter Celebrations

Cute Hailey on the go!
We celebrated Easter early with my family.  The kids had a great time scouring Mormor and Buddy's yard!  After we went in and played some great minute to win it games.

Lucky Eliza got the deck to herself for the Easter egg hunt.  She loved this little lamb!

Ben was too fast to take a picture of when the egg hunt was on, but this shows his awesome finds!

You have a minute-to-win-it, good luck!

Hailey doing a great job, Mike beat Jake and is still going!

Ben and Nathan heading off.  Notice how Ben is stacking his on his eye,
I think he gets extra points for that!

Nicole was so much better at this than me!

Eliza was the smart one and ate her cupcake!

Happy Birthday to Mike, Me, and Aly

Hailey decided to decorate her face with a permanent marker!  Yes, permanent.  This was right before church, so I did my best to get it off but she looked quite pink that day.  She said she was pinkalicious!

Love how hard Ben is concentrating with his tongue out.

We had a fun birthday partay at my parent's house.  I have always loved sharing my birthday with my sister Aly.  It means that I always have someone else to sing to!  We had great food including my Mormor's flutekake, which is the best cake ever!  We played great games that everyone had so much fun with!  These pictures are of the egg transfer game.
On Mike's birthday, the 22nd, we had a fabulous date!  We were able to go to Bon Jovi! I suprised Mike with tickets I had bought months ago.  It was such a fun night!  We went to macaroni grill before hand and then met my sister Aly and her friend at the concert.  It was such an amazing concert!  What a great way to celebrate our birthdays!

Gateway Kid's Museum on St. Patrick's Day

The Gateway Kid's Museum had a free day on St. Patrick's Day.  I thought it would be insane to go, but Nicole and I decided to try it out and just leave if it was too crazy.  My mom was great and met us there and helped us with our combined 5 kiddos.  It turned out to be so much fun!  It wasn't any more crowded than any other day and it was a great way to celebrate St. Patricks!
We also had leprechauns visit us 3 times on St. Patricks!  When Ben and Hailey poured their milk in their bowls in the morning with their cereal, the milk turned green.  Then a leprechaun set up a treasure hunt around our house that ended at a box of green cereal (apple jacks) and golden chocolate coins for Ben and Hailey.  Then at dinner their pink juice magically turned green again.  Ben and Hailey searched all over our whole house trying to find the sneaky leprechauns.  At the beginning of the day I hadn't planned to do anything for St. Patricks Day, but it turned out to be so much fun!
We also went downtown later and went to a Blaze game.  My kids love the Blaze (indoor football)!  Eliza just yelled the whole time and raised her hands when there were touchdowns.

Bounce House

We went with my sister-in-law and her kids, my mom and my sister to Jump 'n Bounce.  I'm not sure what Ben's doing in this picture, but they had so much fun!

Hailey flying down the big slide.  This slide was one of Eliza's favorites too.  Although it was a challenge to get her up the slide, she loved sliding!

Argggh! Pirate Island Pizza Fun

Eliza and her cousin Jaxson loved dancing!

I love my pirates!  My kids love playing and eating at pirate island.  We didn't get pictures of everyone, but we met Mike's parents and one of his sisters and her twoboys and his brother and his children.

If you look closely at this picture you see that Eliza is very carefully stepping over the crack in the cement.  We were hanging out outside of Pirate Island and she was walking around.  But, every time she came to a crack she would stop and look down like she was crossing the grand canyon, it was so cute!

Yearly Jana Pictures!!

Handsome Stud!

Love the big belly!

Believe it or not, Eliza was not happy during this photo shoot!  She was really tired for some reason.  But, Jana got some great pictures.  Jana had set up everything in my family room, and Eliza just kept walking off, not wanting to hold still for the pictures.  So, in all these black and white background pictures Eliza is actually on my lap.  This is a trick I got from my mom.  I have the background draped over me and I was tickling her and playing peek-a-boo.  They ended up great!

Hailey is taking tap and ballet this year.  She really loves it, so we thought it would be fun to take some pictures in her cute dance outfit.

We took these pictures just before Eliza's first birthday.  She was just learning to walk around, so the kids had to help support her a little in the pictures.  My friend Jana (butterflylovephotography.blogspot.com) does such a great job, and it was so nice to have her come into our house and take all the pictures, the kids love it!

February Hollywood Connection

Mike and my brother Blake riding the magic school bus with the kids

Ben, Hailey, and Nathan (cousin) bravely riding the front of the roller coaster by themselves

Roller Skating Craziness!  So, my kids decided it would be great fun to go roller-skating.  When I was little my mom put me and my sister Aly in roller skating lessons.  I remember roller skating when I was Ben's age.  I guess my kids need a lot of practice.  I pushed Eliza in her stroller while Hailey hung on for dear life.  Mike helped (well really held up) Ben.  It was a great workout for Mike, me, and my brother Blake.  None of the kids really got it, but on the upside we didn't get injured either!

The carousel is Eliza's absolute favorite!  We took her last year at the zoo, and she loved it.  She just smiles and giggles the whole ride.  She could have stayed on it the whole time.  All the workers kept commenting on how cute she was on this ride.
